Do any of you remember Rowan & Martins Laugh-In? I know, I’m showing my age but there are certain iconic things one never forgets. I have a vivid memory of watching Henry Gibson and his attempts at poetry – “Sunflowers, by George Henry Gibson” – can hear it in my mind as I write. Well between that and the center of this button – what else could this be?
I made a traditional peyote bezel then added super-duos as the petals. My amateur photography does not do it justice I’m afraid. The colours are not really good and no bezel details. As I sold the piece already I have no way to make more so this is it. (I’m working on getting better at the photography too.)
I reflected the bezel design in the bail and also in the Ndebele rope chain. I didn’t want anything flashy to detract from the pendant and I believe my solution worked very well. Much own trumpet blowing here but hey, it’s my blog, why not?
