Clarity amid the stillness…with The Mystical Shaman Oracle Deck #52 Standstill
Hello dear friends.
I sat briefly in meditation before pulling a card today and I was drawn yest again to the Mystical Shaman Oracle Deck. I asked for something helpful in a time when the outside world can appear challenging, a message to guide and assist as we all navigate the coming month. The image on today’s “Standstill” card is a beautiful reflection of the message: “When Standstill appears it is a symbol for pausing, for taking a breath and observing. It represents the benefits of temporary non-action.”
Because I drew the card up-side-down we look at the section called “The Medicine” and Oh My Goodness how perfect.
“Time to get out of ‘analysis paralysis’ – this card invites you to turn within, breathe, recognize the internal condition, allowing an opportunity to bear witness to whatever is going on before movement resumes. This can include the opportunity to abort a project that is not working or lay down an unnecessary burden. From this place we can make our next move in a grounded, relaxed, detached way.”
I feel like I keep repeating myself but basically the message is inviting us to meditate! To become still, to quiet the chattering mind (mine) and remove distractions. When I make the time to do this, even if only briefly, I can find some distance from the urgency to do something! I’m often able to see the bigger picture, a wider perspective, maybe even different options for behaviors and responses. How easy it can be to just rush forward with the first idea that comes to mind, the first assumption, those first words that once said can’t be taken back?
Each month when I draw a card I continue to be amazed at the pertinence of the messages.
On May 25th Jupiter moves into Gemini. How does this tie this into the message you make ask! This is the beginning of a new 12-year cycle and is opening and expanding themes, events, and emotions that may have been in your awareness from June 2012 through June 2013. Now, we are obviously in all new and very heightened energies so I feel it is a very good time to sit and pause, to really see these themes. Doing this can allow us to tap into the support, resources, invitations, and ease of development provided by Jupiter’s transition. Let’s extend in a purposeful direction rather than just the first, possibly squirrely, direction or option that appears. Let’s take time to then take advantage of Jupiter’s offer of a new way of conceptualizing the bigger picture as it relates to us, maybe seeing things in a whole new way before plunging back into the urgency of doing.
Remember the what is yours cannot be taken away.
