Love & Rebirth after the Solstice

Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is the shortest day, least amount of sunlight (if you can even see the Sun where you are! right?)  Although this can be seen as dark, negative, possibly depressing, I find it a joyous time. A time to be cozy, contemplative, snuggling with my blankie and frothy coffee, and thoughts of summer. Wait. What!  talk about wishing your life away.  No, not really but if it helps with the depressive impulses why not indulge yourself briefly with glorious vision of spectacular sunshine. And lets face it we all know people who spend most of summer hoping for cooler temps and pretty Fall colours.

Solstice is a time for letting go of old patterns and behaviours, with love and gratitude for all they helped you survive, and then setting intentions for new ways and awareness to flood your consciousness and being in the coming year. This Solstice is particularly energetically amped-up due to the many celestial and astrological shenanigans in the heavens. Hold on to your hats, breath, let go, set new intentions.
