Hello dear friends.
The Enchanted Map Oracle was my first deck. Although other decks have come to me, I often return to what I see as the simplicity and straightforwardness of these cards. No ‘soul enquiry,’ ‘activation,’ or ‘affirmation,’ just thoughtful and inspiring wisdom. This guidance takes the form of answering our enquiry, the question and or intention set when shuffling and then pulling the card.
With the active energy of the Spring Equinox already upon us (Mar 19th 11:06pm), heading for a Full Moon Penumbral Lunar Eclipse (Mar 25th 3:12am), which is heralding the New Moon Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th; I thought it pertinent to ask for guidance for the coming few weeks of powerful intensity.
I think because of the energies we now find ourselves navigating, two cards were revealed today:
#31 Dry Desert “Dig deep for inspiration and truth. Now is the time to become resilient and adaptable.”
# 4 Spirit of Place “Authenticity is the essence of power.”
Words of wisdom… “Does it feel like you are on an endless journey through a dry, hot, lifeless desert?” This card comes to remind us there are times when we’re meant to become resilient on a journey through harsher circumstances. We are being asked to conserve energy until we reach the oasis for which we are searching. Consider the inhabitants native to this environment, they have adapted, they know in a desert water can be found, but it’s often deep underground.
I feel this card is asking us to dig deep for our own truth. The card advice is to let Spirit sustain us while we locate the real Source. It’s time to move past the surface and chose to do the real work of delving deep for answers within. We may feel like we should “do” something, but know this work IS doing something.
The second card, Spirit of Place, tells us that every place has a Spirit looking after it or embodying it. Just as we have soul, plants, trees, mountains, and rivers have their own essences. When this card comes to us it’s saying the answer to our enquiry is in the bigger picture, the essence, of our theme or circumstances. If we are struggling – relax and let go of the need for control. If we are looking for love – embody love rather than longing for it. Once we can find the essential truth that underlies our enquiry, we can find the answers we’ve been seeking. Our greatest power is our authenticity.
Delve deep, become resilient, find your own truth and uniqueness.
Lapis Lazuli – “Reveals inner truth, encourages self-awareness, and allows for self-expression without holding back or compromising. Lapis can release blockages and difficulties with the Throat chakra or in communication. Lapis brings the enduring qualities of honesty and compassion. Encourages objectivity and clarity, helps to confront truth wherever it is to be found, and to accept what it teaches. Aids in expressing one’s own opinions, harmonizing conflict, and active listening.”
