Earth Day 2021
I felt lead this year to do something for Earth Day and let me start by saying I did not know it was going to be a Tree of Life for Earth Day before I was almost finished with the piece. This is another one of those ideas that arrived in my mind (3rd eye) during a meditation. I jotted down the idea in my notebook and thought no more about it until I felt prompted to go look for and buy a stone to be the central focus.
I was in my fav bead shop White Fox Beads looking for the perfect bead to represent Gaia. I had in mind a piece of Azurite/Malachite to represent the amazing blue orb on which we travel. However, such a piece was not available and, with hindsight, may have been too strong a stone for this purpose. All is always as it should be.
The stone I chose was a Bloodstone:
“Powerful healing stone, often used to purify & detoxify the body. Great at grounding negative energy. Can increase energy & strength, & combat fatigue. Enhances intuition & creativity.”
I didn’t start work immediate, I had other ideas pulling me in their direction. When I did start I had any number of false starts and stitch unpicking to get the point where I had the basic look I was aiming for from my vision. I left the base piece on my bead mat for several days to let the “finishing” come into my awareness. Finally I was prompted, as always, by the Universe consistently bringing Earth Day into my awareness. Now I had what I needed to finish – the idea of fruit and leaves on the tree and what they would consist of.

Larimar – A joyous high vibrational stone, gentle & soothing. Self-healing, aids communication, clarity & truth.
Peridot – High-vibrational Heart Chakra crystal, helpful during traumatic emotional situations. Has the ability to bring out unconditional love, happiness & light.
Pink Tourmaline (Rubellite) – Brings cognitive awareness & experience of Universal Love. Excellent emotional connection to Gaia, illuminates relation between Earth & Humanity.
Rainbow Moonstone – High vibrational stone. Encourages introspection, judgment, & easier decision making. Enhances emotional vision, greater creative abilities & freedom of expression.
Ruby – Powerful heart stone. Heals & balances emotions. Helps gather & amplify energy, aids opening doorway to spiritual knowledge.
Smoky Quartz – Offers grounding & connection to Gaia, allowing balance. High level energy absorbs & transmutes negative energy.
Terahertz stone – Artificial gemstone of high vibration & conductivity. Improves energy flow.
What a Powerhouse of a piece. I love it when a plan comes together, without my conscious input. I don’t believe I could have put a better combination of stones together had I tired!
